Ebenbergalm
This hike is possible to do with your children directly from Zell am See. There are two options, the somewhat steeper & shorter variant via the hiking trail No. 57 or the slightly longer, but more leisurely path (No. 58a) via the Köhlergraben to the Ebenbergalm. At the top, a beautiful panoramic terrace with an unobstructed view of Zell am See and typical Austrian home cooking with a charming host, awaits you.

Blaickner's Sonnalm
Start from the parking lot of the Schmittenhöhe/Sonnalmbahn. Via the course of the ski slope in winter on hiking trail No. 64, you will reach the mountain hotel Blaickner’s Sonnalm. This is a pleasant slope that is not too long, making this hut hike to the Sonnalm a nice family hike with a fantastic view and Pinzgau delicacies as your reward at the top.
If your children haven’t burnt off enough energy on this hike, they can also play a round of disc golf right next door. Either on foot to the Sonnkogel or by lift, you will start at 1850m with the disc golf round and can throw 18 holes / baskets along the 3.5km route back to the Sonnalm.

Enzianhütte
Who just wants to enjoy a cozy hut atmosphere with the kids & good food? You can even drive up to the hut at 1300m with a car. However, if you want to earn the juicy Schnitzerl, there is a beautiful hiking trail. You start from the kindergarten Thumersbach. Follow the road until you reach the junction of the Thumersbacher Höhenpromenade. The hiking trail is well signposted from the Höhenpromenade and leads through beautiful forests & meadows to the Enzianhütte. It is a fantastic and pleasant family hike!
