Ferleiten Wildlife Park
Summer destination for families in the Zell am See/Kaprun area
Our 15-hectare wildlife park can be found on the Salzburg site of the grossglockner-alpine road directly by the road charge booth in Fusch-Ferleiten. Here, at the entrance to the wild and romantic Käfertal, you get to observe around 200 animals that are native to the Alps. Imposing ibexes, impressive wolves, cute marmots and brisk chamois are only a few of the animal species you’ll get to see at Ferleiten wildlife park. The park is open every day from early May to early November from 8 am until nightfall! The round tour of the park takes about an hour. All paths are accessible for prams and wheelchair. There’s a pond with a rest area and a look-out in the middle of the park. Countless display and educational provide you with interesting information about the animals and plants of the Alps.
New: High Tauern National Park pavilion "House of Fish”
In 2011, the National Park exhibition pavilion was created in Ferleiten Wildlife Park. An interactive National Park exhibition with a cinema takes our visitors under the surface of our local mountain lakes and streams. Here, an unexpected wealth of wildlife can be found – from ancient trout to minnows.
